What makes a good Contract Recruiter?

Contract Recruiter responsibilities:

Coordinate and implement all sourcing, recruiting, selection and placement related activities to support hiring managers in filling exempt job openings. Duties include advertising, sourcing/research, interviewing, and handling the job offer. All work will be done in direct partnership with the managers with a clear focus on critical hiring objectives. The primary objective will be to provide a flow of pre-qualified candidates that are consistent with current open requisitions.

 Core activities include:

  1. Working directly with managers to identify recruiting needs,

  2. assisting in writing job descriptions,

  3. internet sourcing,

  4. generating candidates,

  5. conducting resume database searches,

  6. targeting specific companies

  7. phone screening to qualify applicants,

  8. selling company to potential applicants, and

  9. closing candidates

 Requires:

  1. Prior solid experience in general recruiting. Knowledge and understanding of HR and recruitment methodologies.

  2. Experience in working with research, candidate lead generation and/or internet recruiting to source candidates for all types/levels of positions in all functional areas.

  3. Customer service orientation, strong telephone communication skills and the ability to do intensive internet and phone work to identify candidates/resumes. 

  4. One to three years experience in a search firm/agency or staffing organization in a high tech company or equivalent. 

  5. A good sense of humor
