OUR RECRUITING PROCESS
ACHIEVE prefers to work closely with clients at
the outset to understand their business strategy,
organizational structure, corporate culture and
management style. Although we regard every search as
unique and tailor our efforts accordingly, we follow
a systematic approach. These are the nine basic
steps which apply to all recruiting assignments.
1.
Analyze Client Needs: We meet with the
key hiring decision-makers, learn our client’s
products, markets, and corporate culture.
We learn the overall goals as a company and
determine how our client’s goals affect their
hiring needs.
2.
Develop Agreement: We develop a
recruiting arrangement, discuss our process and
agree on a set of expectations.
3.
Develop Company and Position Description:
With our client’s assistance, we develop a
company and position profile that helps sell
your company and its opportunities. This
is what makes your company unique and special.
The position profile helps us target the right
individuals.
4.
Conduct Research: We develop a research
plan to identify the universe of possible
candidates. This could utilize our on-line
database, internet databases and our network of
contacts in many industries and gather referrals
by contacting industry leaders, researching
directories and journals. These sources are used
to develop leads to qualified candidates.
5.
Identify/Qualify Candidates: We contact
candidates who appear qualified and express an
interest. We then interview these
candidates for applicability to your position
and build a list of possible candidates.
6.
Evaluate/Present Candidates: By combining
an understanding of our client's total business
environment with our industry knowledge, we
select those best qualified for the position.
We use an assessment of tangible skills (the
candidate’s background, experiences, and
performance) along with intangible qualities
such as personality style (maturity, judgment
and life experience). We then present a
written profile on each of the selected
candidates along with their resume to our
client. This profile contains both factual
information and our assessment of the
individual's qualifications and personal fit
with the client.
7.
Arrange Interviews: We make the necessary
arrangements for a phone or in-person interview
until a selection is made.
8.
Handle the Staffing: If the client
expresses interest in the candidate, we can
conduct reference checks, help in the salary
negotiation, and help in the transition to
employment with our client. As a third
party with considerable experience in such
situations, we can often be the catalyst in
bringing about the final agreement on the offer.
9.
Follow-up: We follow up to ensure that the
new employee is performing well and that the
client continues to be satisfied with the
results of our work. We also stay in touch with
the successful candidate to ensure a smooth
adjustment to the new situation.
